MENTORSHIP

Help new founders succeed and scale!

WHY BE A MENTOR

Over the years, mentors have proven enormously beneficial to our charities and their founders. You can provide invaluable guidance, alternative perspectives, experience, and support.

With your input and network, we can help increase the success rate and effectiveness of our nonprofits. Help them avoid common pitfalls and, ultimately, help them to maximize their impact.

HOW IT WORKS

You sign up to express interest in becoming a mentor.

You will be contacted if and when a newly founded charity requests your mentorship (typically at the end of each Incubation Program), to confirm their availability and interest in mentoring them.

You will then support and advise your mentee according to your availability, expertise, and interests, and see your positive impact on their progress.

WHO IS MENTORSHIP A GOOD FIT FOR?

We are looking for people excited to use their skills and experience to help charity entrepreneurs succeed.  Please apply even if you are unsure of your suitability, as you may be a better mentor than you think!

Our founders have benefited from mentors with a range of professional and personal backgrounds.

Having a mentor who's been where you are before really helps to smooth out the rollercoaster of the start-up experience. They've experienced ups and downs and have a clearer perspective on how it's all part of growth.

Trustworthy external views are hard to come by so even if you have relatively little specific experience, lots of skills are compatible with being a complementary mentor. Also, the first few hours a month that you volunteer can be very high leverage!
